The Planning team form an essential part of this business working closely with the Transport teams at all depots to ensure our products are delivered on time and in an efficient manner.


The role would be an excellent opportunity for somebody looking to develop their skill base & knowledge of the business. The person we are looking for will be highly motivated, well organised with a can-do attitude.

This is an excellent opportunity for somebody who will take responsibility for aspects of the business’s transport planning and give them a solid grounding in Transport & Logistics planning in an FMCG environment.


Knowledge of the workings and legislation of the UK transport sector would be preferable along with previous experience working in a Transport & Distribution environment, although the latter is not essential.


The ability to work in a busy, fast-moving environment is a necessity. Candidates will ideally have a great deal of tenacity and self-motivation that will allow them not just to get to the root of the problems but the motivation to solve them too.

  • Controlling the flow of information between the Planning team and the National Account management teams.
  • Assisting in the capture, maintenance and review of the key data required in the planning process, including reporting on this.
  • Assisting with the administration of Risk Assessments for our delivery locations and helping analyse performance data using the Power BI dashboard.
  • Reliability and flexibility are also key aspects of this varied role.

The job involves extensive use of MS Office software, and the successful applicant should be able to use Excel to an intermediate standard to manipulate data confidently, quickly and accurately. They should also ideally be comfortable using I.T. applications.


You will be expected to have the ability to work unsupervised at times and be comfortable working on amongst other applications MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, the Minster system, Microlise and our Power BI reporting suite.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday 0900-1730 and no Sundays or Bank Holidays
